Ken and Imagination Play :)

Meet Ken.

This is one of Emma's favorite little play toys. Recently she has taken off into all kinds of imaginative play and it is SO fun to watch. She found this little plastic man in a doll house that her grandma has and she named him Ken and loves to take him every where. She has little conversations with him in the car and bosses him around and makes him take naps. It's hilarious.

The other day Emma was playing with her cousins. They turned this 4 poster bed into their tent. I had a hard time getting a good picture but they hung blankets from all 4 posters of the bed and closed the blinds so it was dark. Then they took a decorative tree with christmas lights on it into the "tent" to be their campfire.

Here are two of her cousins, L and A, in the tent. A was the Mommy and she kept telling everyone that they had to "keep their voices down because the mother was resting because she had the sniffles." haha The teacher in me loves to see my little one developing her imagination and creating things in her head. It's so good for her and I love to see her enjoying moments like these much more than a tv show or movie.

Here's another cousin, H, and Emma painting. Em is really into painting and playdoh lately and she's finally at an age where I can get it set up for her on the table and then she can play independently while I cook dinner or unload the dishwasher or catch up on a few emails.

Or help Ken clean his dentures. :) On that note....adios. Hope you're all staying cool!
