I love logging on and checking up on everyone's blog, but seriously everytime I get on lately, I shudder when I see my blog and realize how ignored it has become. I don't mean to make excuses, but....
As Emma gets older, sleeps less and keeps me running around the house all day long; with the introduction of Micah into our mix three days a week; with the nausea and extreme fatigue of pregnancy; between all the cooking, cleaning, and loving that come with homemaking and being a wife.....it seems I have a hard time finding a spare moment to squeeze in a shower, let alone come up with a witty, interesting, picture-filled blog post.
And to be honest....I'm not all that upset about it. I'd rather have a happy, cared for baby, a clean home and a husband who comes home to a showered wife and dinner on the table than a fabulous blog post anyday! I know blogging is a great way to keep up with our lives and I'll try to throw in a post when something awesome, exciting and fun comes along that you can't miss but in the meantime....we might just have to get together and catch up the old fashioned way. I like that way better anyway....don't you?

My Duty
Sometime last year, I got a notice in the mail that I had been summoned for jury duty. At the time, I was still nursing the little lady so I was easily able to defer my summons for several months until I was done having a baby completely dependant on me for food. I completely forgot about it until about a month ago when I got the summons in the mail again. So tomorrow I start my 5 day minimum jury duty experience. I'm wavering back and forth between being a little excited to see how the whole process works and knowing that most people say it's a lot of sitting around and being bored. I've got a few books ready to go and I'm kind of looking forward to a few baby free days. Between Emma and M (who I watch 3 days a week), I get a good fill of diaper changes, temper tantrums, bottle-giving, nap training, etc etc. It might be a little vacation for me to just get to sit and read! :)

Glamour Girl
My husband is the best. Tonight he took Emma and headed to the grocery store to do the groceries for me. The groceries get done and I get to enjoy a quiet house. mmmm heaven. So this is going to be short and sweet so I can go enjoy that quietness.
Here's what happens when Daddy is "watching" Emma and she decides to do her own make up. What do you think? Future Mary Kay employee?? :)
