We were in Florida!
We left Sunday morning, hoping that the 2 ft of snow on the ground wouldn't affect out flight. Imagine our disappointment when we discovered that it wasn't the weather, but rather a mechanical problem that was delaying our flight. After almost 2 hours of waiting, we were able to take off; however we knew that the delay would make us miss our connecting flight in Ohio. I have to admit, Delta was very helpful and before we had even gotten off of the flight from Harrisburg, they had new flights scheduled for all of us. The only problem was....ours didn't take off for SEVEN MORE HOURS.
This sweet girl was such a trooper! Look at those big eyes, wondering why she is still crawling around in an airport and not working on her tan like I had promised! It really wasn't that bad and Emma was such a good girl. (We found a gate for a plane headed to France like 9 hours later. Nobody was there so Emma crawled around and played and slept.) We were scheduled to get into Florida around noon but didn't end up getting there until around 7pm, but we were thankful to be there nonetheless! Check out my beach babe...
The weather was actually a little chilly and windy, but you can't complain when your hometown is getting hit by a blizzard and you are in the pool! :) We had a great time with Emma's Gigi and Paw Paw and even got to meet Uncle Todd (well, he's not technically her uncle, but it's easier to say that than 'Second Cousin Todd' - that doesn't sound nearly as natural) We were SO lucky to be able to stay an extra day because our return flight was canceled due to the second blizzard craziness. We are glad to be home, and thankful for such a fun family getaway!
